Najib loves travelling to foreign nations so that he could be photographed rubbing shoulders with world powerful leaders. Such opportunity is short in supply nowadays. With the exception of Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull who had no choice but to welcome him at the Australian-ASEAN summit recently, it seems all the global leaders are avoiding Najib with a ten-foot pole.

Throw in the Anti-Fake News 2018 Law bulldozed to silent critics, there’s no difference between Najib Razak and North Korean Kim Jong-un or Zimbabwean Robert Mugabe. The Washington Post is the latest foreign news media that says Malaysia’s proposed anti-fake news is nothing but an excuse for censorship.

1MDB, which has been classified as a “Ponzi Scheme” by the Swiss Attorney General is not any common thievery. 1MDB is the world’s biggest financial scandal. In fact, the U.S. Department of Justice acknowledges the 1MDB represents the largest action brought under the Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Initiative, involving stolen money of more than US$4.5 billion.

Najib Razak, who was the Chairman of 1MDB (1Malaysia Development Berhad), has denied any involvement in the scandal despite caught with his hand in the cookie jar – a whopping US$681 million in his private banking accounts. Instead, Mr. Najib has claimed that the money was donations from Saudi royal family, a claim that could not be substantiated.

President Trump, perhaps wanted to give PM Najib the benefit of the doubt, was persuaded by lobbyist to grant a White House visit to the Malaysian leader. The POTUS was promised a mind-boggling US$20 billion investment “bribe” to “Make America Great Again”, a pledge made by Najib which was nothing by empty rhetoric, as Trump would find out later.

Four months later, a secret joint operation between the U.S. authorities and Indonesian police seized “The Equanimity”, the US$250 million luxurious yacht owned by fugitive Jho Low, Najib’s business partner. Najib’s wife, Rosmah Mansor, was also exposed to have had purchased a 22-carat pink diamond necklace – worth a stunning US$27.3 million – using money siphoned from 1MDB.

The cartoon showed Mr. Najib chopping a pen labelled “Press Freedom” but his nose, presumably due to excessive lying, grew so long that some tree branches could be seen written with “Corruption”, “1MDB Scandal” and “Scorpene Submarine Affair”. It was clearly a direct insult on not only Najib’s corruption and thievery, but also his sexual affair with murdered Mongolian model Altantuya.

To hell with America, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia or Brunei. Who need them when Najib has a powerful friend – Chinese President Xi Jinping? Turns out, even China has been quietly distancing itself from the despicable Malaysian leader, as revealed by SCMP (South China Morning Post), a Hong Kong-based English-language newspaper owned by Alibaba Group.

So when SCMP says the Chinese leaders are avoiding the Malaysian leader like the plague, it can only mean one thing – Xi Jinping doesn’t regard Najib Razak as his good friend at all, despite the latter claiming otherwise. The Chinese president last visited Malaysia in October 2013, when he attended the China-Malaysia Economic Summit. That was 5 years ago!!

Najib’s advisers believed the timing of the 14th general election should be coincided with a visit to Malaysia of President of China, so that local discriminated ethnic-Chinese voters could be hoodwinked into thinking that Najib was Chinese-friendly. Earlier speculation was that Xi would visit Malaysia in August, only to change to October, 2017. None of those materialized.

The plan to call for an early snap election in 2017 failed spectacularly after Xi’s refusal to fly to Malaysia. The Chinese president was supposed to witness the official opening of Xiamen University’s Malaysian campus in Bandar (City) Sunsuria, Sepang. As the year ended with no sight of Xi coming over, Najib realized the window has essentially closed.

That was when Najib showed his ugly side – whacking and demonizing Malaysia richest man Robert Kuok by spreading fake news that the billionaire was secretly funding opposition parties. Using Malaysia-Today portal to achieve his racist evil plan, the premier hoped to rally the ethnic-Malay behind him at the expense of the ethnic-Chinese.

But there’s one compelling reason why President Xi gives Prime Minister Najib the cold shoulder. And it has very little to do with 1MDB. That reason is none other than Bandar Malaysia. In Dec 2015, Malaysia’s Iskandar Waterfront Holdings (IWH) and China Railway Engineering Corp (CREC) jointly secured rights as the master developer of the mega-project Bandar Malaysia.

A year later in Dec 2016, Financial Times revealed how Najib son of Razak approached China to help settle the US$6.5 billion dispute over an alleged breach of contract between two Muslim nations – Malaysia and U.A.E. – over Abu Dhabi IPIC’s missing money. Obviously, China refused to be treated like a personal ATM machine of Najib Razak.

In a surprising business move, Malaysia Ministry of Finance, of which Najib is the finance minister, terminated the project on 3 May, 2017, blaming failure to meet payment obligations as the reason. But why would cash-rich CREC break its promise of payments when Bandar Malaysia was a strategic investment to meet China’s agenda – OBOR (One Belt One Road) – in the region?

In reality, the greedy Najib wanted to squeeze more money from Bandar Malaysia by terminating the deal so that Beijing and foreign competitors could be put to a bidding war for the precious 196.7-hectare site of the former RMAF (Royal Malaysia Air Force) base in Sungai Besi – driving up the price to higher than the initial RM7.41 billion winning bid of IWH-CREC.

True enough, Najib administration re-opened the tender for Bandar Malaysia in June, 2017 – a month after its refusal to honour the deal won by IWH-CREC. The greedy and despicable government wanted Fortune 500 companies to bid for the project. That probably explains why Najib had failed to convince President Xi to visit Malaysia last year.

Thinking highly of himself, Najib thought he could scam not only the Americans but also play the Chinese. His partner Jho Low tried to bribe Republican and Trump donor Elliott Broidy with US$75 million to influence the U.S. president to drop the 1MDB investigation but failed. With both President Trump and President Xi avoiding him, the toxic Najib really has very few powerful friends.

ISHAM (Tukar Tiub), REBEL OR PATRIOT?

Hishamudin Rais aka isham otherwise as Tukar Tiub (tt), is Malaysia's topmost blogger with more than 113,000,000 page views and going strong. He would pen in 3 or 4 postings a day. I would read most of postings to gain insight of his running comments on 'terhot' affairs of the country and globally. At times I would glean his articles for my blog! Thank you.

I have not met him in person and don't know much about him really. Began to hear of him when Anwar was condemned to jail the first time round. From the papers I gathered that he was behind the street demos which would turn violent. My perception of him then was with a scorn, up-to-no-good guy, a trouble maker on Anwar's pay sheet. 

After reading his many posting I learned more about isham. His articles for 'alternative' newspapers  are interesting read for the language is simple, on the ground, humorous, engaging with anecdotes. Before, I gather that he was on the run,  rebel going underground, in the boondocks, troubadour and what else for some 20 years altogether. The real reasons I am not sure. That long period of experience on his own hardened him and turned him to be a man wiser.

tt sometimes write as Panglima Potasseh. He is dead against religious hypocrisy especially amongst the so called ulamas. He gives them vulgarity straight in the face more than they could chew. For example Ustad Tontowi was a German porn lover to the extend that he missed his visit schedule. One thing I quite don't agree with tt is that he is against Zakir Naik (India) doing dakwah in Malaysia. Why? Unless there is something that tt knows that is damning such as false teaching. 

tt is in the forefront to get the father of kleptocracy (none other than Najib) and the mastermind, Jho Low that siphoned US4.5billions of our money (through 1MDB). The culprits dare to claim innocence. The police are not doing anything. tt is out for street demos to corner them. Many people are taking risks to help save the country and tt is  a prominent one apart from Dr Mahathir.

Sarawak Report must begin by warning readers that the following is soon to be determined ‘Fake News’ under Malaysian law, because it criticises Najib Razak.

Malaysians should be under no illusion that matters can get a great deal worse than they already are in their country and that under Najib they are racing downhill, as this desperate individual runs roughshod over their rights.

The present Prime Minister has transformed the government of his country into a criminal enterprise and has become trapped in the process. He has lost control and his entire management of Malaysia is now devoted to his own cover-ups and self-preservation.

Nothing good can come of that – it can only get more and more disastrous.

For a start, everything has become a lie. From official figures on the economy to statements from government controlled funds, nothing can be confidently believed, because the Prime Minister cum Finance Minister refuses to admit that he has been unmasked as a massive thief and insists on validation.

The government lies change from day to day and audience to audience.  For example, the Prime Minister has frankly admitted to BN party apparatchiks that he stole billions from 1MDB and has justified his act in terms of keeping their party in power.

Yet, in public he has told a different story. First, he said that Sarawak Report and the WSJ were lying about his bank accounts and threatened to sue.  Then a few weeks later (after replacing his Attorney General and Deputy PM) he admitted the cash, but said it had been a gift from an anonymous Arab.

The world laughed and all have noted that Najib Razak has yet to issue proceedings against anyone who has openly called him a thief and a liar.

Yet it is this government, led by a master thief and liar, that is now proposing to criminalise what it determines to be falsehoods.

Government as Organised Crime

It might seem astonishing that such a man has the brass neck to seek to return to office or that his party leaders would support him.  However, what choice do any of them now have?

Najib knows he is open to prosecution and so has carried on accumulating vast further thefts of public cash and entrenching self-protections from the forms of punishment (jail) that he has proved only too happy to inflict on his political opponents time and again.

Meanwhile, his role in government has long since evolved into leadership of an organised crime operation. As a man who started young on his criminal career (accumulating mass thefts from his position in the Ministry of Defence – see the French Scorpene case) he certainly understands how to run an organised crime ring, which is an accurate definition of what Malaysia’s ruling BN party has sadly now become.

Crucially, no one from within the organisation dare challenge him, because he has managed to implicate them all, through a tainted election from which all have benefitted.

So, now it is this group of gangsters who are using their gerrymandered majority to thrust through a law to criminalise ‘Fake News’!

Fake News?

The former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir has today accurately pointed out that there is no practical way to implement this desperate measure, since there is no definition given of Fake News.

Were Najib to have decreed that any form of criticism of himself as the supreme leader was now illegal, which is of course the intention of this bill, then the matter would be clear enough.  However, Najib wants to pretend that he has not in fact single-handedly destroyed the last vestiges of democracy in Malaysia in order to save himself from the consequences of his own criminal actions.

So, he plans to bully critics by threatening to determine their utterances as Fake News in a completely unstructured and arbitrary manner.  Najib’s own appointed Attorney General will of course decide what should be prosecuted as being ‘Fake’.

This was the man who waved MACC investigation papers as he claimed no evidence of wrong-doing had been found at 1MDB, whilst those very papers themselves displayed to the watching cameras the money trails of millions into Najib’s own accounts!

Fake News Impressario – AG Apandi exonerated Najib and 1MDB whilst waving the proof of his own lies!

It means that those who accurately report the decisions of Singapore court cases, the statements of global banks and regulators and the court filings of the US Department of Justice with repect to 1MDB will be criminally prosecuted.

Whereas, those who claim on their Facebook pages that an anonymous Saudi Royal gave Najib a billion dollars to fight Islamic insurgency in Sarawak will escape persecution entirely.

How ‘Fake News’ is to be identified, quantified, prosecuted, proven and then punished produces mind boggling challenges that make it clear that this ‘law’ will be merely used as a blunt instrument to harass people who speak the truth about corruption.

Malaysia is being turned into a country where ludicrous lies are treated as truths and solid and self-evident facts are treated as lies.  The destruction of trust and the rule of law within a community is utterly dangerous and ruinous.  It is the precursor to flagrant lawlessness, pariah status and economic disaster.

Najib has started his country along a road no one ought to want to travel.

UMNO PENCETUS GANAS?

UMNO takut kalah PRU14. Kiranya menunjukan akan kalah pada hari undi UMNO akan buat helah ada keganasan, kacau bilau, samada palsu atau dirancang. Najib akan istihar MAGERAN. Pilihanraya dibatalkan.

Ada tanda2 atau bunga2 rencana ganas. MB NS sudah mula naikan darah. Zahid buat2 beri amaran tidakan keras akan diambil.  Pihak polis berkata ada lebih 1000 unsur mahu menimbulkan huru hara. Rakyat ditakut2kan. 

Kekecuhan berlaku pada UMNO Titiwangsa adalah ibaratkan senjata makan tuan. Kalau main khabar angin sama2 tidak percaya antara satu dengan lain.  Kalau main dedak ada yang tidak puas maupun tercicir. Masing2 mahu balun sebanyak munkin.

Syed Badli yang merupakan anak jati Kampung Baru berkata, terdapat khabar angin bahawa akar umbi Umno mencadangkan nama Ketua Pergerakan Pemuda Umno Wilayah,  Tuan Haji Razlan Rafi menggantikan tempat Johari di Titiwangsa.

Syed Badli berkata isu itu berpunca daripada perpecahan dalam Umno sendiri akibat rasa tidak puas hati terhadap Tuan Haji Johari Abdul Ghani sebagai anggota parlimen di kawasan itu.

"Saya percaya berlaku perpecahan dalaman Umno di Titiwangsa kerana isu perebutan kerusi.

"Malah tindakan pihak-pihak tertentu yang menaikkan sepanduk provokasi menolak Johari itu juga mungkin berpunca dari akar umbi Umno yang tidak berpuas hati terhadap prestasi beliau sebagai ahli parlimen," katanya dalam satu kenyataan media.

Mengikut Mahathir Najib  akan menang PRU14 hanya dengan jalan tipu. Mahathir mengulangi 900 perempuan bernama Fatimah Ismail yang bakal jadi pengundi hantu. Mahathir mengulangi kesah  70 orang Melayu, India  dan China yang duduk disatu rumah dialamat yang sama. Mahathir  menerangkan 400,000 undi awal dan hampir 1 juta undi pos. Semua ini adalah penipuan.

PTPTN BASTARDIZED

Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional, PTPTN, or the National Higher Education Fund Corporation, was established in 1997 by the government to enable students to borrow money cheaply to finance their tertiary education, locally.

Other than one Chinese, the rest of 25 persons comprising Chairman, CEO, Board members and top management pictured in the 2016 report, some of  whom are government-appointed (including Attorney General Apandi Ali), are ALL Malay/Bumi. Why is this so?

a. Firstly, after 20 years, PTPTN must bite the bullet and write off all bad debts. Much of it might be due to deaths, emigration or poor documentation and record keeping. This basically means that somewhere between RM8-13 billion, or up to about 33%, MAY NEVER BE COLLECTED. What in reality is the worst case scenario?

b. Next, all the Bank Loans should be re-negotiated and lending banks forced to take a big haircut. Let them take a hit as part of national service, like WE THE TAXPAYERS.

c. Stop all waivers for first class graduates and early settlement discounts. The interest charge is low. If you don't believe it, try borrowing on commercial terms from banks. The government must make available funds for PTPTN at the same rock-bottom cost of funds as for Bank Negara/MoF/Treasury.

d. PTPTN and the govt must go all out on a debt-recovery blitz. Goddammit, just publish the full defaulters list at its website, in all the newspapers, air the names of  the most recalcitrant borrowers on TV and Radio and take legal action without guilt.

Basically, all these irresponsible borrowers want two bites of the cherry. They got a PTPTN loan which is already funded with Taxpayers money and subsidised low interest, enabling them to get a degree and a higher paying job. Now, when it comes to repayment of that loan, they are asking the Taxpayer to subsidise their loans again with discounts, rebates and waivers! Have you no shame? You borrowed, you pay! It's a struggle? Yes! But, it was not any better for the older generation either. Many of us got nothing from our government, not 1 cent. We too struggled and slaved and stinged and cut corners so that the next generation could get a head start and good benefits. You have a right to higher education, but not the right to pass the burden of your cheap loan to others.

e. The PTPTN Top management and downline staffing should be re-structured to employ more proven professionals and be more inclusive.

f. Our education system should be revamped, like yesterday. Right now, many are pursuing degrees with no proper grades or interest, resulting in them not being able to find relevant well-paying jobs. Bring back vocational schools, so that there will be an additional avenue for young people to acquire practical skills which will allow them to earn decent, living wages.

8. Only then will we have a true and clear picture of the Taxpayer bailout that is required. Let not Najib pretend that it's a government or UMNO bail out. Whichever way one looks at it, it's the Taxpayer who is going to be walloped.

9. Where to find the money? Easy:

a. Cut the Minister of Education's salary for goofing and the MoE budget for wastage. The Minister and his top executives at the Ministry must be whacked for the PTPTN mess.

b. Cut Najib's PMO over-bloated and ridiculous RM17 billion budget by at least RM10 billion.

c. Abolish the Federal JAKIM and save RM1 billion a year, as religion is a State matter.

d. Stop ALL scholarships to Pakistan, Indonesia and the Middle East countries, especially for religious studies. If I am going to subsidise some unknown's education in the national interest, and I am not totally against it, it will not be to countries where our youth get brainwashed to become ISIS and/or Taliban extremists with bomb-making expertise.

SEBELUM MEMELUK ISLAM

Saya memeluk Islam sekitar 20 tahun yang lalu, karena sesuatu yang sangat istimewa.

Sebelum memeluk Islam, saya selalu mengajak orang untuk masuk Kristen.

Saat itu, kemana pun saya pergi, saya selalu membawa Bible, berkalungkan salib, bahkan saya mengenakan topi bertuliskan Yesus is Lord (Yesus adalah Tuhan).

Saat itu, saya sangat penuh gairah untuk menyampaikan pesan yang saya pikir orang perlu tahu. Pesan tentang cinta kasih, pesan tentang perdamaian, dan pesan agar menjadi orang baik. Jadi saat datang hari penghabisan (kiamat), mereka sudah siap untuk itu.

Keseharian saya sebelum masuk Islam, diisi dengan dua hal. Bekerja keras dalam berbisnis untuk mendapatkan uang, dan bekerja keras memberitahu orang tentang Yesus dan perdamaian.

Saya dulu mempunyai gambaran yang sangat buruk tentang Islam dan Muslim. Saya begitu takut untuk bertemu dengan orang Islam. Jadi ketika ayah saya mengatakan bahwa ia akan bermitra bisnis dengan seorang muslim, saya bilang: “Tidak! Orang ini muslim, mereka teroris, mereka pembajak, mereka penculik, bahkan mereka tidak percaya pada Tuhan. Mereka menyembah kotak hitam di gurun (Ka’bah) dan mereka mencium tanah lima kali sehari.”

Begitulah cara pandang saya terhadap Islam, anggapan yang sangat buruk, dan pandangan yang buruk tentang bagaimana mereka memperlakukan wanita dan anak-anak.

BERTEMU DENGAN MUSLIM UNTUK PERTAMA KALINYA

Ketika saya bertemu pertama kali dengan seorang Muslim, saya sangat terkejut karena saya sebelumnya membayangkan dia menggunakan baju panjang, dengan tali hitam melilit di pinggangnya, dan sorban besar di kepalanya, dan dia memiliki satu alis mata yang memanjang (yang seram), mungkin membawa pedang yang panjang dan tajam, dan mungkin sesuatu seperti pisau tajam. Saya tidak tahu.

Tapi ketika saya bertemu dengan orang itu, saya sangat terkejut. Dia memakai baju yang biasa dipakai orang lain, dan terlihat seperti orang pada umumnya. Bahkan ia tidak berjanggut lebat, dia menggunakan topi karena kepalanya botak. Dia menyenangkan, benar-benar orang yang menyenangkan.

Seketika itu, saya berpikir bisa mengubahnya menjadi seorang Kristen. Itu yang ada dalam pikiran saya: Saya akan menjadikannya menjadi Kristen. Tetapi ternyata Allah SWT memiliki rencana lain.

Salah satu yang benar-benar membuat saya terkagum-kagum dengan perilakunya. Pria itu pendiam, lemah lembut, pemurah, dan yang mengagumkan adalah cara dia setiap hari dia menjalankan shalat lima waktu. Dia melakukannya lima kali setiap hari. Tepat waktu.

Dia mengatakan:  “Mohon izin, saya akan segera kembali”.

Dia kemudian pergi dan berwudhu. Kemudian Allahu akbar, salam, doa, dan kembali ke kami, dan mulai bekerja kembali. Setiap hari, kecuali satu hari dalam sepekan. Di hari Jum’at dia hentikan semuanya.

Dia katakan: “Saya akan kembali dalam dua jam.”

Setelah siap, dia pergi ke Masjid, melakukan shalat (Jum’at) di sana, kemudian kembali, dan diperlukan waktu hampir setengah jam untuk mencapai Masjid. Itulah kenapa dia meminta istirahat selama dua jam. Tetapi dia tetap kembali dan bekerja lagi dengan saya.

Pria itu bekerja tujuh hari dalam sepekan, tetapi dia berhenti bekerja untuk menjalankan ibadah.

Yang mengagumkan lagi, dia suka berpuasa di hari senin dan juga Kamis. Bila ditawarkan sesuatu, dia berkata: “Saya berpuasa”.

Satu hal yang mengagumkan tentang dia, bahkan ayah saya juga mengatakannya, adalah tentang kejujurannya. Setiap kali terjadi transaksi bisnis, apapun itu, dia selalu meyakinkan bahwa pelanggan mendapatkan layanan yang baik. Apa pun yang dia jual dan dipastikan pelanggan mendapatkan barang sesuai yang dijanjikan, kemudian follow up untuk memastikan apa yang terjadi selanjutnya (setelah barang diterima). Itu yang mengagumkan, dan kami benar-benar takjub.

DIALOG TENTANG TRINITAS

Suatu hari, saya berusaha untuk memurtadkannya. Dia bertanya tentang Bible (Injil). Saat itu sedang ada pendeta Katolik yang tinggal di rumah saya. Bible yang saya miliki berbeda dengan Bible milik ayah saya, dan berbeda pula dengan Bible miliki pendeta Katolik.

Kami mulai membicarakannya (Bible) satu dengan yang lain, kemudian mulai muncul perdebatan. Selama perdebatan, muslim itu hanya duduk tenang di sana.

Kemudian kami bertanya: “Berapa banyak versi Al-Quran?”.

Dia menjawab: “Hanya satu. Dan tetap dalam Bahasa Arab, semua persis sama, tidak ada yang hilang. Tidak ada kata yang hilang, tidak ada huruf yang hilang, bahkan hingga ke tanda titik.”

Kemudian muncul ide dalam diri saya “mari kita bicarakan tentang Tuhan.”

Saat mulai membicarakannya, dia bertanya tentang Trinitas: “Dapatkah anda menjelaskan, bagaimana mungkin 3 menjadi 1? Berikan contoh.”

Tapi tidak satupun dari kami yang bisa menjelaskannya.

Ketika kami tanya dia: “Bagaimana kamu menjelaskan tentang Tuhan?”

Dia katakan: “Oh itu sangat sederhana. Allah SWT berfirman di dalam Al-Qur’an Surah Al Ikhlas:

قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ﴿١﴾ ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ ﴿٢﴾ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ ﴿٣﴾ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌۢ ﴿٤

Katakanlah: Dia-lah Allah, Yang Maha Esa. Allah adalah Tuhan yang bergantung kepada-Nya segala sesuatu. Dia tiada beranak dan tidak pula diperanakkan. Dan tidak ada seorangpun yang setara dengan Dia.

KETIKA HIDAYAH DATANG

Dan anda tahu? Argumentasinya sangat kuat sehingga kami sangat terkesima. Luar biasa. Ayat-ayat itu (Surah Al-Ikhlas) memiliki arti yang sangat indah, bila seseorang tahu, bila mereka bener-benar tahu Allah SWT itu Esa. Tidak ada sekutu bagi-Nya, dan Dia menjaga segalanya. Dan dia tidak memiliki Ayah, tidak punya anak, tidak punya kerabat, tidak punya sepupu, tidak punya paman, dan Dia tidak bergantung pada apa pun. Dia Ahad.

Sebenarnya pernah dalam kehidupan saya, ketika saya begitu terlibat dalam kekeristenan dan saya pikir itu adalah segalanya, saya mulai menemukan ada kesalahan pada Bible. Kesalahan yang serius. Dan itu mulai membuat saya ragu. Bukan ragu tentang Tuhan. Tidak. Tapi ragu terhadap Bible dan bagaimana dengan istilah Kristen. Seseorang dikatakan Kristen jika dia mengikuti Yesus Kristus. Tapi apakah Yesus sendiri mengatakan dia Kristen? Sebenarnya saya temukan di Bible, tidak pernah disebutkan Kristen.

Hal lain yang pria itu katakan pada saya bahwa: “Kami Muslim, percaya pada Yesus (Isa ‘alaihissalaam).”

Kata saya: “Apa???”

Yang saya tahu Yahudi percaya pada Adam, Ibrahim, Ishaq, Ismail, Sulaiman, Daud. Mereka percaya pada perjanjian lama, tapi mereka tidak percaya Yesus. Tidak sebagai Rasul, tidak sebagai anak Tuhan, tidak pada kemukjizatannya, tidak satu pun. Jadi bagaimana mungkin Muslim percaya pada Yesus?

Lalu dia katakan: “Ya, kami menyebutnya Isa.”

Saya katakan: “Ok, itu sama dengan Yahudi. Yoshua.”

Dia katakan: “Anda tahu? Kami percaya dia memiliki mukjizat. Ia memperolehnya dengan seizin Allah SWT. Dan kami tahu ia telah menunjukkan kemukjizatannya sejak lahir. Ia bisa berbicara saat masih bayi. Isa ‘alaihissalaam berbicara saat baru lahir dan mengatakan pada orang-orang bahwa ia adalah Rasul dan ia membawa misi.”

Lalu saya bertanya: “Ok, apa yang kamu percaya tentang Yesus? Kami menyebutnya ia anak Tuhan. Bagaimana pendapat kamu?”

Dia katakan: “Kami menyebutnya anak laki-laki dari Maryam.”

Menurut saya masuk akal. Benar ia anak laki-laki Mary (Maryam).

Dia katakan: “Dengan cara ini kami tidak perlu untuk mencoba menjawab isu masalah anak Tuhan. Kemudian tentang Allah. Allah memiliki anak? ‘Audzubillah…”

Hal ini membuat saya berpikir, Muslim percaya pada begitu banyak, hampir semua, tetapi mungkin sedikit berbeda.

Kemudian saya tanya: “Apa lagi yang anda percayai?”

Dia katakan: “Kami percaya ia tidak mati, ia bersama Allah dan akan datang di hari penghabisan.”

Ya Tuhan, orang ini akan mudah saya murtadkan saat ini juga.

Tetapi kemudian, terjadi sesuatu. Terjadi sesuatu yang besar.

Di suatu malam, ketika saya memikirkan tentang Islam dengan sungguh-sungguh, saya dapati pendeta Katholik yang tinggal di rumah saya masuk Islam. Saya tidak percaya! Saya katakan kepada istri saya. Tetapi saya dapati, istri saya juga sudah masuk Islam! Saya merasa terguncang. Jadi saya ingin berbicara dengan pria itu lagi, sekali lagi.

Kemudian, kami berjalan berkeliing di luar rumah pada malam hari. Saya bertanya pada dia tentang bisnis, keluarga, orang-orang yang saya kenal, jemaat saya, tentang bible, Al-Quran. Banyak pertanyaan, karena saya tidak tahu apa yang harus saya lakukan.

Saya berharap dia mengatakan pada saya: “Kenapa Anda tidak masuk Islam? Kenapa Anda tidak menjadi Muslim?”

Lihat, betapa bijaksanya pria itu. Dia katakan: “Ini bukan tentangmu dan saya, ini bukan urusan dirimu dengan istrimu, atau dirimu dengan ayahmu, atau dirimu dengan jemaatmu. Ini urusan antara Anda dengan DIA. Jadi bicaralah dengan-Nya.”

Lihat, orang ini dia tidak mengatakan: “Saya mau anda diberi petunjuk oleh saya”. Tidak. Tapi dia mengatakan: “Saya mohon agar Allah memberi anda petunjuk”

Dia pasrahkan apa yang Allah kehendaki, dan dia berdoa untuk itu.

Kemudian dia pergi dan shalat. Saat ia shalat, saya letakkan kening saya ke tanah dan berdoa: “Tuhan, bila Engkau ada di sana, beri saya petunjuk.”

Ketika saya mengangkat kepala saya, saya tau, saya tahu ada Tuhan di sana. Dia Esa. Tidak ada Tuhan selain-Nya, dan tidak ada sekutu bagi-Nya. Dan saya sadari bahwa Muhammad Shalallahu ‘alaihi wassalaam adalah Nabi penutup dan yang terakhir. Saya harus mengikutinya. Saya harus mengikutinya. Tidak ada pilihan lain, tidak ada jalan lain, hari ini atau tidak akan pernah lagi.

DOLAH TATANG MINYAK

Dolah lama mendiam. Lebih lena tidur. Dia dan menantu tatang Najib seperti minyak yang penuh. 

Dolah sedang terapung tidur atas minyak. Dia dan Sidek tatang minyak (Petronas) yang kini sudah tak penuh. Apa peduli tak penuh asalkan duit masyuk bertimbun tiap bulan. Hancus Petronas.

Tempoh hari Sidek sibuk sediakan RCI berkenaan  forex Bank Negara kononya salahguna masa Mahathir dulu. Apa jadi? Masa dia KSN dulu dia pandai2 naikan gaji sendiri dan orang2nya melambong sebelum pencen.

Sepatutnya Rafidah jadi PM bukan Dolah. Mr Clean (konon) naikkan harga minyak 3 kali setahun! Duit itu untuk apa? Kes centrifuge, Iraq food for oil, cop duit baru di Australia, Islam hadari, ulang-alek Los Angeles 28 kali, masjid kaca di Terengganu, jadikan menantu (bersalah kerana korup) Ketua Pemuda UMNO … Hancus Malaysia.

Berapa banyak duit Petronas disalurkan kapada 1MDB? Najib, Dolah, Sidek boleh bersekongkol.
