The Janissaries - the Ottoman fighting machine.
The Ottoman invaded Hungary in 928/1521. At the Battle of Mohacs Hungary's army was destroyed and her cities were one by one reduced by siege. Here (above) the new artillery is brought into play. The Sultan consults with his advisers in a luxurious tent.
