POWER YOUR LOVE

Viagra is a synthetic aphrodisiac. Apparently, the Vatican has a share in it manufactured by Pfizer. There are hundreds if not thousands of such artificially made products in the open as well in the black markets. Many are fakes.

There are many traditional preparations of herbal and zoological derivatives, each society has many concoctions that supposedly enhance libido.

Middle East: Dhab, desert lizard oil, camel oil ...

Indonesia: Pil biru, Pasak Bumi ...

Indonesia: Honey + herbal.

Golden Triangle (Thai-Burma-Laos border): Viper's juice + ginseng in whiskey.

China: Ginseng, thousands' years recipe.

Malaysia: Tongkat Ali, Kacip Fatimah, Gambir Sarawak ...

THE OVERKILL - NUCLEAR WMD ON HIGH SEAS

Might must show proof and strike fear. It comes with responsibilities and commitments - advanced technologies to overkill if and when necessary. And might is always associated with arrogance.

The information here is outdated. Nevertheless, it shows how far ahead these countries in weaponry and sophisticated technologies. They have many more new ones in their secret arsenals.

From an age old concept, to control the seas means to be the master of the world. What more with control of the skies too?

The second unclear powered aircraft carrier of the U.S. Navy, the 95,000 ton USS Nemitz, joined the Atlantic Fleet in 1975. The world's largest warship was programmed to operate for at least 15 years with refueling.

Nuclear surface fleet. The Navy's three nuclear powered ships - the frigate "Bainbridge" (top), the cruiser " Long Reach" (centre) and the carrier "Enterprise" (bottom) - return from a 65-day round the world cruise which they did not have to stop for refueling.

The Lafayette, one of the U.S. Navy's nuclear submarine, cruises submerged.

New nuclear submarine. The U.S.S. "Ray" seen here during a test run, was commissioned April 12 at Newport News, Va. The submarine can go 60,000 miles without refueling and has a diving capacity of over 400 feet and a submerged speed of over 35 knots.

The Nautilus at the North Pole.

NS Savannah, the world's first nuclear merchant.

H.M.S. "Dreadnought", the Royal Navy's first nuclear-powered "hunter-killer" submarine.

Chinese Navy, Long March 2 nuclear submarine.

Malaysia's two Scorpene submarines are still blanketed with controversies. When the MH370 was down, they did not partake SAR. Why? We got help from Singapork's submarines because they have better (sonar!) equipments. This was "poke eye" to borrow Zahid.

Najib and his ship's crew are sinking over the Johor debacle. He went to over the Straits for a durian party and came back without the Woodlands. The Sultan was already fuming furious at the loss of Batu Puteh. When instructed to rebuild an elevated causeway for big ships to pass through the causeway Najib was at his stupid best. The Iskandar development is not designed so much for locals but for foreigners (Dolah is a traitor).

Heck, the Sultan knows better how to govern the state for an overkill high income economy.

Najib can loose talk on high income economy when his brother gets RM10million/year on GLC!

MAT SALEH DAH LAMA BOKAM BUNTUT

DATUK HARUN IDRIS, MAY 13TH HERO

Datuk Harun Idris is likened a star who fell from grace. He was a powerful UMNO member. His name was on the lips of the Malays. This was especially during the May 13th 1969 riot when he became the rallying call of Malays around Kg. Baru, Gombak, KL and in fact the whole country for solidarity against marauding (DAP) Chinese calling for Malay blood. Blood for blood, head for head was the response. The Odeon Cinema Theatre  incident was macabre where Malay a number of cinema goers were flushed out and killed.

Harun (left) with Gazhali Shafie.

The Muhammad Ali vs Joe Bugner 1975 boxing event in KL was a financial fiasco for Harun. He arranged for the fight but lost millions and finally could not settle the Bank Rakyat' loan. That marked the end of his career and plunged  him to ignominy. He was jailed. Even then he was able to win enough votes to be an UMNO Vice-President. There were of course many who want him down and out due to jealousy and threat to their ambitions.

AIMAN (SYRIA), DO COME TO MALAYSIA

A much earlier posting (Dec 2013) was on Aiman wanting to find a job in Malaysia as Instrument Engineer. We all know how terrible is life there. To help him, I contacted a number of companies that advertised for vacancies in the newspapers but to no avail.

For some months later on I could contact him over the phone but now the lines are dead. Things are getting from bad to worse. Previously, in my e-mails to him, I mentioned that he is welcome to Malaysia. The Syrian Embassy in KL confirmed that they could come here anytime VOA.

Residential area within Latakia town where Aiman and family live during peaceful times.

Aiman (3rd left) with family and relatives in his house where I spent 2 days.

His mother-in-law and other relatives live in Qassabin, a village not far to the south of Lattakia. Their house phone line is dead too.

The house in Qassabin village, Jablah where I spent many days during my 3 visits there. An elderly lady, Mrs Nejmo sitting (barely visible) sitting in the porch. Her husband died blind of cataract several years ago.

We are ready to bring Aiman and family here. Wonder how is the flight connection from KLIA to Damascus to Latakia now after Bashar has been re-elected?

AFTER PANDA, THE GILA MONSTER

How the pandas adapting to the tropical climate at Zoo Negara? RM76m for 10 years? They are temperate animals, thus, better suited to the cool Fraser's Hill or Cameron Highlands where thickets of wild bamboos fare in abundance for pandas to feed upon.

Found in the desert of Southwest USA.

Obama says if Najib really loves USA and  desires political mileage, he could ask for a pair of gila monsters just like he got pandas from China. The former can adjust better to the hot tropics unlike the pandas which have thick furs.

After 40 years the aura of his father still lives! Get out of the shadow of the aura Najib!

SULTAN AZLAN IN FAISALABAD

Years before the turmoil in Pakistan I had the opportunity for a week stay (Dec 1991) at the campus of the University of Faisalabad.  After presenting a paper we were brought to a tour of citrus orchards and juice processing factory. Musambi is the commercial variety being grown. Dr. Ikrar Khan was the scientist who attended to me. He is now the VC of the University.

Main building of the University.

Invited guests for post-seminar luncheon. Front row, second from right is the Governor of Punjab Province in which the University is located.

There is a police station within(?) the campus.

A street close to the campus.

A vendor and customers.

Locals relaxing after farm  work.

During my visit to a professor's house he suggested that I should go further north, Gilgit close to border of Afghanistan. The girls are fair and beautiful there!

He asked me if I know of a famous hockey player from a royal family in Malaysia. My answer was blank because I am no hockey fan. He was also trying to recall the name. After quite a while he remembered the name Azlan Shah.

Thank you Faisalabad and Dr. Ikrar Khan.

This man knew the late Sultan Azlan quite well. He is Shahurain Hussein, my late father-in-law, several years older than the Sultan. The latter used to spend time in a big wooden house by the corner of Market Street and Jln. Mat Saman, Batu Gajah where Shahurain and relatives stayed. The house is now rundown and has changed hands.
