THE FOREBODING WAR
WW11 has been dubbed as a war to end all wars. The saying is a farce because during peace men prepare for war.
The arms race is ongoing. The weapons made are more devastating. Warmongering becomes a business.
There are belligerent states for might is right.
Economic demands and territories are unsatiable. Resources become scarce. Ideology, religion become the pretext for war.
The UN, the broker of peace is but a dud to legitimise war.
War then becomes a neccessary evil for those who are bent on war.

THE MAN WHO DEFEATED FRANCE
'Our Great Viet is a country where prosperity abounds, where a civilization reigns supreme' - words of 15th century Vietnamese war hero. Unhappily, Vietnam's subsequent history has been turbulent - a sad story of unrest and foreign interference.

HOUSE IN THE WOODS
It was during an
introductory course on landscape architecture way back in 1975 when I
first came to know Lloyd Wright's name. The elderly professor who gave
the course was sprightly with rumpled white hair. He was often seen
cycling on campus especially around his department. Some 20 years later
while in Florida I visited Florida Southern College and Lloyd Wright
left his mark on the architecture of the main buildings.
