Sybil Kathigasu was the wife of an Ipoh doctor who along with fellow Malayans became caught up with the horrors of the Japanese occupation during WW2. Her selfless concern for the sick and wounded anti-Japanese guerillas who came to her house secretly for treatment ended inevitably her betrayal and her arrest and imprisonment by the Japanese.
