Alfred Wallace was a naturalist who spent many years all over in the Malay Archipelago studying and collecting specimens of plants and animals (insects, birds, mammals etc.). He was contemporary of Charles Darwin. He visited Melaka, Singapore, Sarawak and the rest of Borneo.
