6+ADIB DEATHS - BOMBA DG MUST RESIGN

For strategic reasons, it used to be that the Fire Dept (Bomba) station buildings are located close  to police stations. For many years now they adopt an isolationist policy, their stations are distant from public access.

They have the penchant to relocate new office sites far from major public access  and  wherever possible on hillocks, perhaps with the idea that people could see them from far to call for help.

The Kajang Fire Dept is hidden on a hillock so is the brand neew one at Aman Jaya, Ipoh. The Sri Iskandar (Perak) Fire Dept is so isolated out of nowhere. It takes time for the fire engines to reach the towns where much of the buildings are located and hence the centre of emergency action.

This isolationist approach affect the staff mental state for action, alertness, and to be in touch with new experiences to deal with small and major emergency cases. At one time we called a fire department to get rid off a  large hornet's nest behind the house. They asked for RM300 for the service. We found an alternative for free.

All they can say for the 6 deaths of their staff at in a pool at Klang River weir several months ago was that they followed SOP! Emergency situations on land, water, and air differ each time and there is no such cookbook procedures as such but fast respond to the needs of the situations. This requires real life experiences and alertness.

Don't point the finger at us but at your own self! Time to go off bro.
