WHO IS SITI KASSIM?

Yes, she is loud. Very loud. She does not need any loud speakers. If we disagree about something even about the taste of the food served, be sure that the entire restaurant will hear her opinion. She may even give me ‘the finger’ followed with a four-lettered word but always accompanied immediately with her roaring signature laughter that will ring all over the room. No, she is not yelling. And no, she is not angry. That is her voice. She meant well. That is her style. She is who she is. She does not pretend. She is not a hypocrite. If you cannot handle that, just don’t join in. Just turn away lah…

But anyone who knows Siti will vouched that she is a wonderful and caring person. She is hard in the outside, but very soft in the inside. She has a very good heart. She is a friend that you can rely on anytime. She is fun to be with, a little unconventional perhaps but definitely a sunshine.

If you are in trouble, if someone bullies you, if you are poor and can’t afford a representation, if you are a marginalized group whose voice needs to be heard – you want Siti Kasim to be on your side. Siti at heart is a kind and good Muslim. The Prophet too fights for the poor, the marginalized and those in need. Siti represents that part of Islam in her colored hair and flamboyant style. Look at the substance and not the form … please.

Harga kubis merudum 50sen/kg. Rugi. Biasalah pekebun2 ambil risiko harga turun naik. Kalau harga sayur melambung memang untung.

Saya dengar2 ada lambakan import kubis dari Indonesia. Masa itu (arwah) Sanusi Junid Menteri Pertanian. Dikatakan dia atau orang2 dia monopoli import kubis. Entah betul atau tidak.

Langkau beberapa kebun saya terletak kebun Latiffah Omar bersama anak lelakinya.

Dua bulan sekali saya pergi jengok kebun. Teringin juga hendak buat banglo disitu. Entah. Capt Rivers aka Pak Tam dan Capt Zainal ex-manager Boh ada banglo dilereng bukit sebelah bawah.

UiTM TAPAH SAPA BALUN?

PAUPER YE RAKYAT

The Constitution that guarantees the right of the homeless pauper who languishes in the back lane of Chow Kit also guarantees the right of the King who lives in the gleaming RM650-million Istana Negara.

Istana Negar: The King and Rulers are well provided for.
For 16 months to April this year, a total of RM256.9 million had been allocated to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong for purposes of accommodation, residence and palace, personal items, aircraft and transportation, training and escort equipment, clothing and ceremonial items, gifts and souvenirs, overseas visits and salaries of palace staff.

MELEPASKAN ANJING TERSEPIT

ANWAR Ibrahim said he visited Malay rulers
to debunk notion Pakatan did not respect royal institution
(Huh? Whose notion? Who said Pakatan does not respect royals?)

he assured sultans Pakatan not under thumb of Chinese-majority DAP
I told them not to worry because govt not under DAP

(Huh? "not to worry"?? In the first place, what is there to worry? Arent DAP also the sultans'  loyal subjects. The DAP are also citizens of Malaysia. They have done a good job in Penang.  Plus PKR, Amanah and PPBM have 71 seats. DAP has only 42 seats. Kipas satay ke brader? DAP better read this carefully.)

no attempts to eliminate power of rulers Anwar said at Abim event
My intention clear,  to explain PH govt’s policies said Anwar at Abim HQ

(ABIM ? Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia ?? Why ??)

constitutional monarch will not lose power
I explained all this to them said Anwar

rumours about Anwar's political ambitions
rumours he was undermining Dr Mahathir
by forging pact with rulers

meetings all at invitation of royal houses, Anwar said
first meeting with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on May 13

Anwar asked to meet sultan 10.50am
Pardon Council Meeting started 11am

received invitation to meet sultan of Johor
two-hour session with Johor sultan

discussed constitutional monarch, if plans to eliminate it

The second thing he asked was why I supported Dr Mahathir.

(Huh ? The Sultan really said that? Why ?)

After that Anwar met sultans Pahang, Perak, Selangor
I was happy with meeting
I said we would ensure status of Islam would remain

THE AG IMPASSE - DEBUNKING THE AGUNG

Who should be the next Attorney General? Tommy Thomas?

The King ‘shall appoint’

Clause (1) of Article 145 states that His Majesty the King ‘shall’ on the advice of the Prime Minister, appoint as AG a person proposed by the Prime Minister.

This is what it says: -

‘145(1): The yang di-Pertuan Agong shall, on the advice of the prime Minister, appoint a person who is qualified to be a judge of the Federal Court to be the Attorney General for the Federation.’
Note the word, ‘shall’. It is mandatory.

The binding nature of the Prime Minister’s proposal is buttressed by an explanatory clause in Art. 40(1A): It says:-

‘In in the exercise of his functions under this Constitution or federal law, where the Yang di-Pertuan Agong is to act in accordance with advice, on advice, or after considering advice, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong shall accept and act in accordance with such advice.’

Those who delay the appointment of the AG are doing a great disservice to the toils of an elderly patriot trying to right a wayward ship.

These detractors are playing into the hands of the pilferers who have purloined billons from our coffers. They sit pretty, smiling from their strongholds. They think nothing will come upon them so long as they keep raising one constitutional crises after another, and trigger as much unease and delay as possible. That is why they are delaying the appointment of the AG. They wish to feel safe. They think the GE 14 is a pyrrhic victory. They feel they are untouchable.

They must be stopped.

As a nation we cannot sit idly by, while these detractors stultify the rakyat’s hard-won victory.
