Greening is sustainable living. We make use of trees for a myriad or purposes in the landscape - beauty (tree architecture, colour, odour, sound), shade, windbreak, living wall, animal refuge and attraction, soil and water conservation.
The group effect in avenue planting of trees can give a unique if not majestic architectural effect in the landscape. A good example is scenery of the huge roadside rain trees, Taiping Lake Gardens.
